Every booking supports our mission of creating pathways into employment through food, with all chefs paid the London Living Wage whilst they gain professional kitchen experience. We aim to keep our catering accessible and inclusive, offering dietary accommodations where possible and working closely with you to tailor the experience to your event. Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend confirming your booking at least 14 days in advance. As a small refugee led team, additional notice, especially during busy periods, helps us prepare your event with care. Food is prepared by our chefs fresh on the day of delivery.
Can we collect the food ourselves?
Absolutely — collection from our kitchen is always welcome. We’ll share collection times and simple guidance to help you.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, delivery can often be arranged depending on location and availability. Fees are calculated based on distance, timing, and order size. If it suits your event, food can be delivered or collected hot and ready to serve in catering trays, giving you flexibility to host your event in a way that suits you.
Can you cater for dietary requirements or allergies?
We do our best to accommodate dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, and common allergens. Let us know when booking and we’ll work with you to plan suitable options.
Is serving staff included?
Staffing isn’t included as standard, but we can explore options depending on your event needs.
Do you provide plates, cutlery, or serving equipment?
These aren’t included by default, though disposable or reusable options can be arranged if required.
How does our booking support your charitable mission?
By choosing our catering, you’re directly supporting employment and training opportunities for refugees involved in the Plateful Café programme. Your event helps create paid work experience, skills development, and confidence-building pathways into hospitality careers.
Can menus be customised?
We’re always open to conversation and often able to make adjustments. Let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll explore what’s possible.
