VOLUNTEER FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS

At Plateful Café, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to feel valued, active, and connected. We offer volunteering opportunities to people seeking asylum who are not permitted to work while awaiting a decision on their status. Many asylum seekers live in hostels or temporary accommodation and can spend months, or even years, with little to do beyond waiting for a Home Office decision.Our volunteering programme provides structure, purpose, and community, helping people develop skills, build confidence, and maintain wellbeing during an uncertain and often isolating time.

نوفّر فرصًا للتطوع للأشخاص طالبي اللجوء الذين لا يُسمح لهم بالعمل أثناء انتظار صدور القرار بشأن طلباتهم. يعيش العديد من طالبي اللجوء في بيوت ضيافة أو مساكن مؤقتة، وقد يقضون أشهرًا، أو حتى سنوات، وليس لديهم ما يفعلونه سوى انتظار قرار وزارة الداخلية البريطانية (Home Office).

يوفّر برنامجنا التطوعي بيئة منظمة وإحساسًا بالهدف والانتماء، ويساعد المشاركين على تطوير مهاراتهم، وبناء ثقتهم بأنفسهم، والحفاظ على صحتهم النفسية والجسدية خلال فترة تتسم بعدم اليقين، وقد تكون في كثير من الأحيان فترة من العزلة.
