Love Your Community: A Taste of Sudan This Valentine’s Day

Celebrate love, community and great food this Valentine’s Day with Plateful Café at our special dinner, A Taste of Sudan. This will be held on Saturday 14 February at 7pm at Hilly Fields Park Café, Lewisham.

For this intimate Valentine’s evening, our talented refugee chefs have curated a three-course menu that showcases the warmth and love that goes into Sudanese cooking. Begin with a fresh mixed vegetable salad or our fragrant fried vegetable curry, before moving on to the star of the evening: Kushari, a beloved traditional dish layered with rice, lentils, pasta and vermicelli, topped with chickpeas, rich tomato sauce and golden fried onions. The meal finishes with a Valentine’s red velvet cake and soothing cinnamon tea.

By joining this Valentine’s dinner, you are directly supporting local refugees to gain confidence, build skills and take meaningful steps towards independent futures in the hospitality industry.

Tickets are £35 per person and include a full three-course meal. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to book early.
